WAITSBURG — The Weller Public Library unveiled three stained-glass windows on December 2, in time for Hometown Christmas. The library’s board of trustees worked with John Czarneki of Light & Line Stained Glass Studio in Walla Walla to create the three-panel window.
The Friends of the Library enlisted Waitsburg resident Andrew Knee to place exterior windows before completing the decorative glass installation. The windows by Czarneki were funded by donations and installed by Knee, Louie Gagnon, and Allen Huwe.
Czarnecki used 278 pieces of glass to create the three-panel image depicting the Waitsburg Valley. Knee will complete the installation, including indoor molding around the windows, and lights to illuminate the stained glass.
