WAITSBURG - Waitsburg High School's volleyball team won a set but lost the match against Colton on October 21 in Waitsburg.
Before the match, senior Emma Hays' family joined her on the court as she was honored by the team and school. Hays got a kill in the loss: 20-25, 16-25, 26-24, and 16-25.
Ellie Teal and Katy Allen led the team in serving. Teal recorded two blocks, and Cheri Mathew ended the match with one kill.
