WAITSBURG -The Mat Birds Wrestling Club traveled to Lind/Ritzville, home of the Marmots, for a Washington Little Guy Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, March 9. The Waitsburg club competed with 14 wrestlers and brought home nine medals.
The tournament organizers bracketed the girl athletes separately from the boys.
Jess Winona (13), Parker Winona (10), and Maggie Winona (9) each had three pins in a row and earned 1st place medals.
