Update on Prescott Joint Park and Rec District

February 16, 2023

PRESCOTT—The Prescott Joint Park and Recreation District Board of Commissioners and the newly elected Board Chair, Jason Kaehler, thanked the District’s residents for their votes and approval of the levy request for 2023. They look forward to the 2023 season where all can enjoy the results of the significant repairs and upgrades to the facility done in 2022.

The Board is in talks with the Walla Walla YMCA to work with them again to provide enhanced services, including swimming lessons, aerobics, and open swim sessions. The plan is to return to a regular schedule of operations after the end of the school year in June.

In a press release, the Commissioners said, “We value the opportunity to provide all of our patrons with this safe, healthful, enjoyable summer recreation. COME SWIM WITH US!!!”

The Prescott Joint Park and Recreation District Commissioners are Jason Kaehler, Board Chair; Carol Hartwig, Vice Chair; Matt Hamilton, and Selena Rubio. Voters passed the annual maintenance and operations levy in the November 2022 election.
