Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley

Weller Library; a sum of all parts

Dear Editor,

As the year closes on 2022 for Weller Public Library, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for the people and organizations that have contributed to the success of the library this year:

Weller Public Library Board of Trustees, who give their time volunteering in support of the library and staff.

Library support staff Sarah Roberts, whose skill and experience have been responsible for the new library webpage, social media posts and overall organization of the face of Weller online.

Library support staff Amanda Withers, in her amazing creativity at developing Take & Make Art kits, and Friday StoryTime and Craft.

Randy Hinchcliffe, City Administrator, for the support from the City of Waitsburg as the library undergoes changes to better serve the community.

Waitsburg City Council, for their support of the library and for their approval of the 2023 Weller Public Library budget that will include funding for books and materials; programming, and improvements to the building.

The Friends of Weller Public Library, for the continuation of their fundraising efforts that support programs for youth, and books for the library.

Community members Marie and Louie Gagnon, who volunteer their time to monitor and maintain the building.

Community members who donated new books for the Children’s Collection just as Christmas season arrived.

The support by members of the community has been much appreciated during the year.

Sincerely,

Twila Tate

Librarian, Weller Public Library
