Walla Walla County Primary ballots mailed July 13

 


WALLA WALLA COUNTY—All ballot testing, processing, tabulation, and canvassing meetings take place at the Elections Office, 315 W. Main St., Room 203, Walla Walla. Accessible voting is also available at this location.

Offices in Primary Election

Jurisdiction: Federal: U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative in Congressional District No. 5; State of Washington: Secretary of State; Legislative District No. 16: Representatives No. 1 and No. 2; Walla Walla County: Assessor, Auditor, Clerk, Commissioner District No. 3, Coroner, Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, and Treasurer; Precinct Committee Officer - Democratic Party: Maple precinct; Precinct Committee Officer - Republican Party: Maple, Pleasant, Watertown, Braden, Frenchtown, and Prospect Point precincts.

Logic & Accuracy Test

The Logic and Accuracy Test, performed on the optical scan system used to tabulate the ballots, will be conducted by the Auditor’s Office on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. The test will be held at the Elections Office, 315 W. Main St., Room 203 in Walla Walla.

Ballots Mailed

Ballots will be mailed on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. (Military & Overseas ballots were mailed on Thursday, June 16).

Observers

Observers are welcome during ballot preparation, testing, processing, tabulation, and Canvassing Board meetings. Our office will currently allow only one observer from each party at a time. Observers will be required to read and agree to rules for observers. Ballot processing will also be livestreamed at https://rtsp.me/embed/K8tnhGtd/.

Accessible Voting

The ExpressVote (a disability access unit), is available to assist voters with marking their ballot. The ExpressVote will be available at the Elections Office weekdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., starting Wednesday, July 13, 2022, and on Election Day from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Processing Ballots

Our office will begin processing ballots on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, and continue weekdays through Monday, August 15, 2022, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Ballot Tabulation

Preliminary election results will not be released until after 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday August 2, 2022.

Canvassing of Returns

The Canvassing Board meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.

Certification of the Primary Election

The Primary Election will be certified by Walla Walla County on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
