Two wins for Wolfpack MS baseball

 


The DW middle school boys baseball team collected a couple of wins and finished one game in a tie. The game on May 16 was a doubleheader against Sager of College Place. Big bats in the 3rd inning of the first game against Sager led to six runs for the Wolfpack.  Beau Hazelbaker, Jayton Gleason, William Cranmer, and Isaias Reyes collected singles, and William Durham hit a double in that inning.  Jordan McCowen stole four bases in the game, ending with the score tied at 11.

In the second game of the doubleheader, McCowen struck out 11 batters, and his team won 18-1. Cranmer and Hazelbaker each had three hits at-bat. McCowen stole five bases.

Next was a 5-2 win over Bethlehem Lutheran on Wednesday, May 18. Cranmer led the team with two hits. Colton Steinhoff struck out eight batters and had three stolen bases. The team was error-free in the field.
