Big changes on Waitsburg's Main Street.

Two big changes can be seen on Main Street in Waitsburg. Earlier this week, the city removed the Waitsburg City Hall sign from the recently surplused building.

On April 5th, building owners Tom and Judy Bennett watched as painters applied the primer covering the black and white flag leftover from the Anchor Bar. Charles Smith painted the conceptual art piece on the building in 2009. The painted black and white flag was a controversial topic in town. However, it had a following online and even appeared on the label of a popular wine, Charles & Charles Post No. 35 Cabernet / Syrah 2018.

The rich, deep blue paint, along with two new glass roll-up doors, gives the former American Legion building a fresh and updated look. The new business, American 35, is a welcome addition to Main Street businesses.
