Around Town

Walla Walla Electric installed new lighting in the back room and in the jail cell of the Weller Public Libary building. The cell, a decommissioned ship's brig, was used when the city police and city hall were located at the building. It has not been used for decades, not even for library late fees.

Bruce and Barb Abbey's star came down Saturday with the help of Bruce's son, Jon, and volunteers Allen Huwe and Louie Gagnon. (Until next December)
