WAITSBURG-Art X Agent gallery's newest exhibit is Sparkling & Broken. Walla Walla artists Juventino Aranda and Rachel Smith have joined forces to adorn the space with powerful imagery.
Aranda works in paintings, sculpture and fiber arts. Images and items created by Aranda are imbued with deep meaning, biting wit, and cultural relevance.
Smith's artwork has included photography and collage. She works with paper both sculpturally and planographically, and is drawn to nostalgia as a means of exploring identity.
Art X Agent will host an opening reception for the show November 2, from 2-6 p.m.
The exhibit will remain on display through December 2019.
Art X Agent is located at 117 Main Street, Waitsburg, and is open Saturday 12-6 p.m. or by appointment.
