Art in the Garden, July 6

 


DAYTON—The Boldman House Museum will host “Art in the Garden,” a garden party and art show on Sat., July 6, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Local artists will share their garden and regional artwork with the public in the Boldman House Garden (410 N. 1st, Dayton). 

Stroll through the garden and enjoy the quiet breezes while viewing the wonderful artwork juxtaposed against the abundant blooms.  The public will have the opportunity to meet some of the artists and view a wide variety of art.  Refreshments will be served. 

Prospective buyers are encouraged to directly contact the artist to arrange sales, and no fee is charged by the Boldman House for any resulting transaction.  This is a free event.

For artists:

At any time prior to the event, artists are invited to stroll the Boldman House Museum gardens to to choose a subject, take photographs for later inspiration, or set up supplies on the spot to create an artwork in any medium. All artwork should reflect some aspect of gardens, our region, and/or the Boldman house. The grounds are always open, and the house is open for tours from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., Wed. - through Sat. during the summer season. (The museum is closed on the Fourth of July)

Art pieces should be delivered between 10-11:00 a.m. to be arranged for the show. Sculpture, photography, quilting, needlework, sketches, prints and paintings are all acceptable entries. Contact Sylvia Beuhler at (509) 629-2052 with any questions.
