Columbia County Comprehensive Plan in Works

DAYTON—Ben Floyd, Project Manager with White Bluff Consultants, led the Columbia County Comprehensive Plan Kickoff Open House discussion for the County’s 2020 Comprehensive Plan at the County Fairgrounds Youth Building, last week. This workshop, and workshops for the City of Dayton and the Town of Starbuck, were held on the same day.

Officials in the Planning and Building Department will take public comment from these and future workshops into consideration when developing the 2020 Comprehensive Plan, and it will be ready for submission to the state by June 30, 2019.

Comments can be mailed to or dropped off at the Columbia County Planning and Building Office at 114 S. 2nd St in Dayton, or sent by e-mail to: meagan.bailey@co.columbia.wa.us. Visit the Planning Department page at columbiaco.com and click the “2020 Comprehensive Plan” tab for more information. Planning Commission meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, at the Planning and Building Office.
