Homeowners to Weigh In on Hist. Districts
DAYTON – Property owners in two Dayton historic districts are being asked their opinion on how, or whether, the districts should operate going forward.
Advisory ballots were mailed by the city on Friday to homeowners in the Southside Historic District and the Washington Street historic. The ballots ask property owners to choose one of three options as their preferred:
1. Dissolve the district
2. Retain the district, but change the review process to “advisory review.”
3. Maintain the district as it is, with mandatory certificate of appropriateness approval.
