As the business manager for the Dayton School District, it is my job to insure school district funds are used in a responsible manner. When reviewing expenditures, we have a process that continually keeps these things in mind:

Is it practical- does it make sense?

Can we afford it?

What are the legal ramifications?

What will people say/think?

Will we be serving students in the best possible way?

Local taxpayers trust us to be stewards of their money, and we take that obligation very seriously. The time has come once again to bring forward a replacement Maintenance and Operations Levy (M&O) and a Capital Projects Levy. The levy support from local taxpayers is a key component of our overall funding. We need your support for the continuation of current programs and for some much needed facility and grounds repairs. As you consider your decision, please know we will continue to be good stewards of public funds, and we will make prudent financial decisions that will have a positive impact on the student learning environment. Please vote YES on both the M&O Levy and the Capital Projects Levy. Your support is greatly appreciated.
