The Times - Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley

WAITSBURG – As of Jan. 1, 2016, Fire District No. 2 in Waitsburg will provide ambulance service for the community of Waitsburg as well as outlying areas in both Walla Walla and Columbia Fire District No. 2. Waitsburg Ambulance Service will no longer provide ambulance service.

Columbia-Walla Walla Fire District No. 2 commissioners express appreciation for the community support the Waitsburg Ambulance Service has received over its rich 45-plus year history.

Columbia-Walla Walla Fire District No. 2 is a public entity and will not be able to offer the $35 subscription program offered by the Waitsburg Ambulance Service in years past. Instead, Fire District No. 2 will bill the appropriate provider for EMS services.
