Nov. 22

Golden lab hunting dog found on Jackson Rd. Report of possible squatter in barn on Kellog Hollow. Deputies were unable to locate after numerous checks.

Nov. 23

Four county road signs were damaged on Skyline Rd.; under investigation. Disabled vehicle with flat tire was parked, with flashers on, on US-12. Vehicle was later removed. Report of theft of property, about two months ago, from house on 600 block of Harlem Road.

Nov. 24

Dog at large on 10o block of E. Main was reunited with owner. Loud arguing and banging on door in 400 block of N. 1st. Parties were separated.

Nov. 25

Report of a car in the ditch on Pettichord Road, just off Kellogg Hollow. Vehicle was gone upon deputy arrival. Report of physical domestic violence incident, that happened a week ago, in Huntsville. Under investigation. Complaint of harassment on social media. Complainant was advised concerning orders of protection and other options. Vandalism of entryway to Dayton High School; under investigation.

Nov. 26

Assisted WSP with a disabled vehicle. Transported the driver and family into Dayton to wait for their ride. Citation for insurance and intermediate license violation.

Nov. 27

Report of two dogs having been left in a car for an extended period of time. Vehicle was gone upon deputy’s arrival. Mark Vandine, 57, Dayton, was attempting to turn onto S. 4th from Main when he struck a vehicle driven by Brandon Goodell, 19, of Dayton, who was stopped at the stop sign, waiting to turn onto Main. Mr. Vandine’s vehicle was towed by Kyle’s Towing and Vandine was booked into Columbia County Jail on charges of DUI. Eggs, Kool-Aid and permanent marker were used to vandalize a vehicle parked on the 300 block of W. Main. Situation is under investigation. Gary Marshall, 60, Burbank, was booked into Columbia County Jail for eluding a police vehicle, a felony. Deputies attempted to stop his westbound vehicle for speed. Vehicle failed to stop, continuing westbound at speeds over 100 mph into Waitsburg. Marshall stopped in the 100 block of W. 3rd in Waitsburg but refused to follow orders and was tazed. Tazer was unsuccessful due to one probe not making contact. Marshall was then threatened with pepper spray. He complied and was placed under arrest without further incident.
