Historic Dayton Films to be Shown

Blue Mountain Heritage Society is converting old 16mm films to DVD

 


DAYTON – The Blue Mountain Heritage Society will present a preview of historic films of Dayton on December 10. The presentation will be in conjunction with the society’s annual meeting, which will be held at the Delany room in the Dayton Memorial Library.

A soup supper will be served at 6 p.m., followed by a short annual meeting. The film presentation will follow.

According to a release from BMHS, “Recently, we were given a large volume of 16mm films showing Dayton’s culture in the early 20th century (1920s to 1940s). The films are being cleaned, restored and transferred to DVD form...
