Nov. 1

Suspicious person reported ducking into corners in alley south of 200 blk. E. Main; deputies unable to locate. Car vs. deer, non-injury accident on SR-261, MP 5.

Nov. 2

Noise complaint on 700 blk of S. 5th. Verbal disagreement, participants agreed to keep the noise down. Complain of violations of the rules of the fairgrounds; referred to fairgrounds committee. Dustin Miller, 26, Waitsburg, traffic stop for size violation; arrested and booked into Columbia County Jail on outstanding warrant from Benton County. Burglary reported on 300 blk of E. Richmond. Report of someone being up in the attic and stepping through the ceiling; nothing missing at this time.

Nov. 3

Domestic violence: Family altercation on 800 blk of S. 5th; parties separated and report submitted to prosecutor. Report of items stolen from a residence on 100 blk of Main Rd. in Huntsville. Waitsburg resident Lonnie Marick, 39, was followed into Waitsburg, arrested, and booked into Columbia County Jail for theft in the third degree. Theft of Schwinn Tourister 3 from 1000 Block of S. 3rd in Dayton. Report of cows out on N. Touchet, MP6, owner responded. Report of strange, unoccupied car parked by the side of the United Brethren Church. All secure, cleared without locating owner.

Nov. 4

Fraudulent call from “Publishing Clearinghouse” telling caller she had won $1.5 million and a Mercedes if she paid $900. Animal skin located near cemetery; referred to Fish and Wildlife. Tractor with lights on at Wilbur Ellis; owners notified. Complaint of a leaf blower being used during evening hours; unable to locate.

Nov. 5

Noise complaint on N. Touchet Rd., MP 1; owner contacted. Elk hunters vs wood cutter dispute at Tallow Flats settled with deputy contact. Report of elk being poached in Tucannon area; referred to Fish and Wildlife and assisted officer. Vehicle slid off roadway and became stuck in snowdrifts south of Bluewood. Kyle’s towing was called for motorist. Sound of possible gunshots or fireworks in Seneca area. Deputies unable to locate.

Nov. 6

Franklin County warrant confirmed for Tim Elias, 51, Burbank. Lost hunting items turned in and returned to owner. Suspicious occupied car reported being parked in front of residence for a long time; unable to locate. Complainant spoke with deputy about an individual, and then asked that they be “trespassed” at 400 blk of E. Main.

Nov. 7

Possible gunshots heard in 1000 blk of S. 3rd; unable to locate. Domestic violence in 200 blk of E. Jackson. Parties separated, verbal only. Phone fraud reported; pay-to-win scheme. Complaint of someone taking pictures of property on S. Touchet Rd., MP8. Trespassing complaint unfounded. Complaint of car parked in front of house in800 blk of. S. 4th, making it impossible for street sweeper to get leaves. Owner contacted and made aware. Non-injury collision 1 mile south of Snow Park on Skyline Drive. David Duncan, 35, Walla Walla, was northbound on Skyline when his engine stopped. He was going downhill and lost his brakes. The bus he was driving (an old school bus converted to a hunting bus) entered the northbound borrow ditch and overturned onto its right side. Kyle’s towing responded, righted bus and towed it to Walla Walla. Dayton juvenile entered as runaway.
