Waitsburg

Sept. 20

One vehicle rollover on Middle Waitsburg Road. Driver arrested for DUI.

Sept. 21

Theft of salt and pepper shakers on W. 4th Street.

Dayton

Sept. 6

Vandalism on S. 1st St. Window damaged, but not recently. Trespassing, black jeep on dike near golf course, unable to locate. Noise complaint of loud party on 400 Blk. of E. Washington. Party shut down before deputy contact.

Sept. 7

Unwanted subject sleeping in entrance to business on 100 Blk of E. Main St. Individual moved upon deputy arrival. Horses out of pasture on 700 Blk of Stockton Rd. Owner contacted. Reckless driving on US-12. Eastbound black Audi made unsafe pass, forcing cars to shoulder. Deputy unable to locate. Illegal burning at Ladybug Campground on the Tucannon. Complaint of a large fire. Unfounded, fires in approved fire pits on Forest Service land are legal again. Several calls about people asking for money “for the troops.” Contacted and told to cease until they obtain a city permit. Complaint of loud fighting on 100 Blk of E. Commercial. Contact made, verbal only.

Sept. 8

Contraband located during a jail search, under investigation. Sexual assault, under investigation. Unknown vehicle backed over victim’s mailbox on 300 Blk of W. Clay. Non-sufficient funds check written on closed account, under investigation. Open door on building secured on 100 Blk W. Cameron. Complaint of individuals in alley screaming and arguing for the past few hours on 500 Blk E. Day. Deputies were unable to locate individuals.

Sept. 9

Boat left at Lyon’s Ferry Marina. Owner made contact with marina. Sexual assault, under investigation. Report of three vehicles parked in the middle of Eckler Mtn. Rd. with their lights off at Pioneer Park. Deputy was unable to locate the vehicles which had reportedly continued south on Eckler Mtn. Rd. Report of cougar sighting near the bridge by Lewis and Clark Trail State Park.

Sept. 10

Barking dog at Country Village Court. Owner brought dog inside. Unwanted subject at 200 Blk N. 1st. Subject left upon deputy arrival. Two hunters located on private property, charges pending. Found wallet attempting to contact owner. Citation for failing to yield to a pedestrian and warned for expired registration. Report of loud music on 200 Blk E. Commercial. Deputy advised responsible party and they agreed to turn down the music and close their doors.

Sept. 11

Traffic hazard on 6th and Main. Report of dumpster in roadway. Passerby had already removed it from the roadway on deputy’s arrival. Basin Disposal notified. Dog killed in dogfight at Country Village Court. Under investigation. Kevin Dufur was arrested on an Olympia misdemeanor warrant. Dufur posted bail. Augustine Hernandez was arrested on Columbia County misdemeanor warrant. Vandalism at City Park. Faucet on water fountain near the bathrooms was struck with a large piece of cement, cracking the fitting, allowing water to spray out. Public assist on E. Main St. Citizen reported wheelchair malfunction. Deputy and public transportation responded. Erratic vehicle reported on US-12. Driver was not under the influence, just very tired. School bus with lights left on. Responsible party advised.

Sept. 12

Bull in roadway on SR-261, transferred to Franklin County S.O. Civil property line dispute on Montgomery Lane. Neighbors will work it out. Report of suspicious person on Main St. Bridge. Black clothing and backpack, black beard. Deputy and WSP made contact. Individual is walking to Idaho. Four tires, valued at $400, missing from garage on 700 Blk. E. Tremont. DUI booked and transported to Pomeroy for WSP.
