July 26

Caller reported 16-year-old female at Cameron Courts out of control and yelling at her mother; deputies cited the juvenile female for disorderly conduct and released her to her father’s custody. Open door with keys in the lock reported at the fairgrounds; keys returned to owner.

July 27

RV parked blocking the yield sign on S. 2nd Street. Report of possible fireworks on N. Touchet Road turned out to be people target shooting. Non-injury collision on E. Main Street as truck pulling a trailer eastbound struck a tree with the trailer causing minor damage to trailer and tree. Male and female arguing loudly at Country Village Courts were asked to lower their voices.

July 28

Juvenile walking to summer youth program at the elementary school was bitten by a dog when he or she stuck a hand through the fence into the yard; dog owner provided proof of vaccinations. Caller on W. Commercial Street reported receiving text messages from an unknown cell phone number.

July 29

Fire reported on Strom Road in a wood stack; blaze was accidentally started by the home owner and was extinguished. Illegal dump reportedly blocking the road on Stonecipher Road at the tunnel; county public works was notified for cleanup. Motorcycle collided with a deer on Highway 12 near milepost 382; state patrol investigated and driver refused transport to hospital. Dogs barking in area of S. 5th Street for at least 45 minutes; forwarded to animal control.

July 30

Deputy assisted citizen with a wheel chair stuck in gravel. Caller reported losing four micro-USB cards in a silk bag and wanted to know if any had been brought into the sheriff’s office. Deputy assisted Walla Walla County on a collision at Waggoner and Middle Waitsburg roads. Complaint of a tan passenger car sitting on N. Touchet Road near milepost 1 playing loud music.

July 31

Complaint about a rooster making noise all the time on S. 2nd Street; information forwarded to animal control. Single-vehicle collision on Little Goose Dam Road when vehicle went into the ditch; unknown reason why vehicle left roadway but driver was transported to hospital via Lifeflight. Caller at Lyon’s Ferry Marina reported that a boater shot a pelican; information forwarded to state Fish & Wildlife officer. Suspicious female reported walking in and out of traffic near Elk Drug; deputy determined her car had broken down and she needed assistance. Non-injury collision on Thorn Hollow Road when vehicle struck deer; vehicle was driven from the scene.

August 1

Loud television reported on S. 2nd Street that reportedly woke the caller. Possible fighting reported at a home on S. 4th Street; deputies determined this wasn’t a fight but a family up making breakfast. Female panhandling and yelling at people on E. Main Street; deputy made contact.
