Waitsburg celebrated the July 4th with the Parade of Veterans, followed by a flag raising, hot dogs, great salads, music, and library fun at a community picnic at the Bruce Museum. Pat Gleason's parade float, complete with ponies, dogs, flowers, and flags enjoyed the attention they attracted at the Bruce Museum picnic.

Veterans led the parade down Main Street to the Bruce museum for the afternoon festivities.

The Waitsburg Scout Troop 337 raised the American and the 250th anniversary flags after the parade.
