Rainbow Girls Elect New Officers

A new slate of officers for the Waitsburg Chapter of Rainbow Girls was sworn in during a ceremony at Waitsburg's Masonic Hall on Jan. 5. Every six months the group elects new officers, alowing the girls to advance in their ranks and practice leadership skills. The position of Worthy Advisor, similar to a group president, is a one-year position. The group focuses on community service, poise and public speaking, and building leadership and mentoring skills. It can take five to six years to work through the various positions to reach that of Worthy Advisor.
