During his first term as Walla Walla County Sheriff, John Turner has ably demonstrated his ability to work with the commissioners, persevering through disagreements to make the case for essential department upgrades, garner support for new procedures and equipment to keep his team and our communities safe, and manage the department's assets, personnel, and finances wisely. His list of supporters for re-election reads like a "Who's Who" of law enforcement, current and retired, within his department, the county, and throughout our region and state.

Mr. Cooper says he's been here for a quarter century and deserves my vote. I have observed John Turner hard at work during the last four years and can tell you, without reservation, he has earned my vote.

Having attended the sheriff's informative round table events in Burbank and Waitsburg and spent time in one-on-one conversation with him, I have come to know John Turner as a person of high intelligence, deep faith, genuine courage, and uncompromising integrity. He is a true professional and a thoughtful leader who has kept the promises he made when he first ran. I urge the citizens of Walla Walla County to join me in voting to reelect Sheriff Turner.
