RASCAL RODEO BRIGHTENS LIVES

DAYTON - During this weekend's Columbia County Fair, special needs people from throughout the area will participate in faux rodeo events in the Exceptional Rodeo produced by Rascal Rodeo. The rodeo will be held on Saturday, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Participants of all ages will be paired with local youth volunteers, champion cowboys and cowgirls, fair royalty and other community volunteers. Their partners will help them be cowboys and cowgirls for the day by learning the different events in rodeo. Events will include: wild cow milking, calf roping, steer roping, bull riding, bronc riding, and barrel racing.

The only live animals used are horses and ponies. Rascal Rodeo is free for volunteers and participants.

This will be the eighth of thirteen Exceptional Rodeos produced by Rascal Rodeo this year throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. This is the first time Dayton is hosting a Rascal Rodeo.

Rascal Rodeo is a non-profit organization based in Pasco. The organization produces Exceptional Rodeos with real life cowboys & cowgirls sharing the adrenaline rush & sense of accomplishment of the western way of life with special athletes who fight battles in a different arena.

For more information, go to rascalrodeo.com or email info@rascalrodeo.com. No horse or rodeo experience is necessary to participate.
