Ken Graham: From the Publisher

10. I did it 19 times (including Kindergarten and graduate school). That was enough. 9. I hate shopping for clothes. 8. In high school I wasn't good enough to play football. (The one year I did, I learned things about pain I'd never known.) So when school started, it meant putting on my band uniform. It's not the same. 7. I had to walk a quarter mile to the bus stop and a quarter mile home every day. 180 times a year. With my trombone. 6. Did I mention that I was kind of a dork? Guys like me did better in the summer when we didn't have to spend every day trying to figure out what to say to girls. 5. It's going to be cold soon. Now that I'm out of school and have a job, I can afford a car with a heater that works. 4. Starting a new year at college meant a new roommate (or roommates). Every one of them either partied too much or too little. 3. It seemed like every year, the girls I liked found somebody new they liked better over the summer. My ego took a beating every September. 2. I don't know how school buses are now, but when I rode them, they were gross. 1. No more baloney sandwiches.
