Waitsburg City Cleanup Day 8 a.m.

Yard debris should be out to your curb by 8 a.m. for pickup by Waitsburg City Staff and community volunteers. Volunteers should meet at City Shop (across from Preston Park) to gather and spruce up the town.

The Dayton High School FBLA Chapter will make a presentation.

First Thursday Concert

St. Paul's Episcopal Church (323 Catherine St. Walla Walla)

The Walla Walla University harp ensemble will perform, directed by Chelsea Spence. Admission is free. Donations are gratefully accepted and will be given to the ASWWU mission project, "To Build a Home". This initiative hopes to raise $100,000 to build and maintain an orphanage in Peru.

Waitsburg Celebration Days Kickoff Reception

Waitsburg Town Hall

5:30 p.m.

See the unveiling of the Celebration Days Commemorative Poster. Sparkling wines and ciders along with small cheese plates will be available.

Friends of the Dayton Library Book Sale

Dayton Memorial Library

All proceeds go to Friends of the Library to be used to support the library.

F4 = First Friday Flick Four p.m. A child-friendly movie will be held at 4 p.m. at the Prescott Library on the first Friday of each month.

11th Annual Dayton Church and Organization "Street Sale"

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The sales takes place on S. 3rd Street between Clay and Park Street and at the Senior Center, Dayton Memorial Library, Liberty Theater and Main Street.

Saturday Market

Blue Mountain Station, Dayton

10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A farmer's-style market with artisan foods, locally made wine and local entertainment.

Benefit dinner and silent auction for 6-year-old Keegan Hoilman. Keegan is the son of Scott and Amanda (Stanley) and is fighting leukemia. Amanda is formerly of Waitsburg.

Megan Morrison, our Waitsburg Royalty Court, along with advisers Amanda DeRuwe and Joycelin Munden, will be participating in this special event. Megan will help to support the events of Waitsburg Celebration Days and will represent and promote the Waitsburg Community throughout the year. The community is invited to attend. A catered dinner by "the Q" and chef Emry Kleck is $12.00 per person. Please RSVP to ikbakeve@charter.net or 509 337-6546 by Saturday, May 3, 8 p.m. No charge for meeting-only attendance.
