Jantz passed away at his home in Orlando, FL on December 3, 2013. Kenneth was born on January 20, 1938, in Davenport to Howard and Dorothea Jantz. He graduated from Davenport High School and after graduation enlisted in the Navy. Kenneth served 4 years in the Navy. He then worked as a campus police officer at Washington State University where he met his wife, Carolee Clodius Jantz. They returned to Waitsburg where he began his farming career that lasted 40+ years. During his time in Waitsburg, Kenneth was active in various organizations including the Lions Club and the Masonic Lodge. He served on the Waitsburg school board for several years and was a little league baseball coach. Kenneth served as a Port of Walla Walla Commissioner from 1982-2005. He retired from farming and moved to Orlando, Florida in 2009. Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife, Carolee Clodius Jantz; father, Howard Jantz; mother, Dorothea Timm Jantz; and brother, Donald Jantz. He is survived by his son, Dr. Michael Jantz and Mary Shelton of Gainesville, FL and daughter Melinda Nubla, son-in-law Joseph Nubla, and grandson Jeffrey Nubla of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by a brother, Jerome Jantz of Cheney and sister Joyce Stubbs of Spokane. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Lung Association.
