Waitsburg/Walla Walla County & Dayton/Columbia County

4-11: Animal Mistreat. Possible animal neglect reported on S. Touchet Road, Dayton.

Traffic Problem. Kids reported on go-cart in alley and on the street near E. Dayton Ave., Dayton.

4-10: Motorcycle Complaint. A motorcycle was reportedly running up and down Dayton Ave., in Dayton. Caller reported that it "looked unlicensed" and was loud.

Missing Person. A man was reported missing from Spring Lake campground on the Tucannon River. The man, who was reportedly intoxicated on Saturday night, took off from his campsite and had not returned by Sunday morning. Deputies later located him back at camp.

4-9: Illegal Burn. Illegal burning of yard waste reported on S. 4th Street, Dayton. Deputy made contact and the fire was extinguished.

Found Property. License plate found along side of Highway 12 near Dayton.

Suspicious. Suspicious person reported near Dayton Park. Deputy made contact and learned the person was just traveling through town, nothing amiss.

Shoplifting. Suspected shoplifter at PDQ Foodmart on E. Main Street, Dayton. The suspect was arrested.

4-8: Theft. A new laptop computer, still in its box, was reportedly stolen during the night from a residence on Wilson Hollow Road, Waitsburg.

Vandalism. Attempted entry to storage box reported on W. Commercial Ave., Dayton.

Accident. A pick-up truck driver on 4th Street in Prescott attempted to pass a Basin Disposal garbage truck at the intersection of 4th and C streets and reportedly struck the left side of the garbage truck.

Accident. Two-vehicle, non-injury accident reported on W. Main Street, Dayton.

Juvenile Problem. Kids with BB guns reported on E. Brooklyn Ave., Dayton.

4-7: Accident. A driver heading along Lewis Peak Road near Mud Creek Road, Waitsburg, lost control of her vehicle in the gravel, struck a dirt embankment and rolled over. No injuries reported.

4-6: Accident. Two-vehicle, non-injury accident reported on S. 4th Street, Dayton.

Drugs. A suspect on S. 3rd Street, Dayton, was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of possession of meth.
