JOINT PERMIT AGENCY CONSIDERED

WALLA WALLA - The county and city of Walla Walla are considering formation of a joint permit processing agency which would be governed by a three-member board. One board member will be selected by the County Commission­ers,

one by the Walla Walla City Council, and the last will be jointly selected by the County Commissioners and City Council.

The county and city continue to seek input upon whether to form the agency, and they also seek applications from per­sons who may be interested in serving on the agency govern­ing board. This is a volunteer, unpaid position.

Application forms for this volunteer position may be ob­tained from either the Walla Walla City Clerk, City Hall, 15 N. Third Ave., Walla Walla, 99362; (509) 524-4348 or the Walla Walla County Commissioners' Office (Public Health and Legislative Building), 314 W Main, Walla Walla, (509) 524-2505. Application forms may also be obtained through the County or City websites at www.co.walla-walla.wa.us (County) or www.ci.walla-walla.wa.us (City). Applications may be submitted to either the county or city by no later than Oct. 8, 2010, at 4 p.m.
