The Waitsburg boys dominated the meet and won the team competition with 172 points, with its nearest competitor, St. John-Endicott scoring 120 points. The Dayton boys came in third with 106 points.     RICHLAND – The Dayton softball team was able to hit the ball very well against Liberty Christian’s reserve pitchers last week, as L-C’s number-one pitcher was out with an injury. With several free passes throughout the day, combined with 36 hits, Dayton scored in every inning of the double header and every starter for the Bulldogs was had a hit.     A small Dayton Track team competed at the Prosser Invitational Saturday. Dayton was down numerous athletes due to sickness and an FBLA event. Hazel Tu, Dayton’s only female competitor Saturday, worked very hard on her long jump and it showed when she added almost two feet to her best jump, leaping 11-07.     WAITSBURG – The Cardinals hosted the Burbank Coyotes Monday in a double header. Although the Cards put 29 runs on the board, they split with the Coyotes losing the first game by two.
