    WAITSBURG/DAYTON – Due to declining numbers on the DW football roster, the last high school junior varsity football game was Mon., Oct. 9 in Irrigon. JV athletes will remain on the roster, at practice, and at varsity games but there will be no further JV games for the season. The original JV/Varsity roster listed 35 athletes.     MABTON – The DW football team traveled to Mabton for a league game Friday night but a failure to schedule referees, which is the responsibility of the home team, resulted in the game being cancelled. Both teams arrived ready to play and waited for approximately an hour before heading home, according to WHS school officials. The schools are working to coordinate a makeup game date.
