YAKIMA – The Dayton softball team traveled to Yakima to participate in the 2B state tournament on Friday and Saturday. The Lady Bulldogs played three games before being knocked out of the tournament by Northwest Christian. In the first game Dayton faced off against Ocosta, but came up short losing 11-6 and sending the Bulldogs to the consolation bracket. CHENEY - Dayton High School sent two athletes to the Washington State 2B track meet in Cheney on Friday and Saturday, and came away with two podium finishes. WAITSBURG – Waitsburg’s Kyle Gradwohl was selected as the player of the year for baseball in the Eastern Washington Athletic Conference.
