Annabel "Karma" Mitchell

Annabel "Karma" Mitchell has been a student at Waitsburg Schools since the sixth grade. She was involved in the Sources of Strength program her junior year and volunteered at school concessions.

In middle school, Mitchell assisted at a nursery potting plants and doing yard work. She enjoyed working at R & B Barbeque in Dayton in her senior year.

After graduation, she plans to travel with her boyfriend, explore places to live, and consider careers to pursue. Mitchell is interested in dog grooming and sewing.

Her favorite memories from high school include her classes and friends.

Lucas VanHoose

Lucas VanHoose will attend Arizona State University in the fall to earn a civil engineering degree. Last summer, VanHoose worked for a Phoenix pulp & polymer company in Dayton.

Attending Waitsburg Schools since kindergarten, VanHoose has enjoyed playing football and basketball. He played golf as a freshman in high school and joined FFA in his senior year. He participated in the Youth & Government program for two years.

VanHoose volunteered at the Amazing Shake haunted house during his junior year and at the science fair hosted by Whitman College in Preston Hall his senior year.

Going to state basketball during his sophomore year is his favorite memory.

Will Ahler

Will Ahler said he became more outgoing in his senior year at Waitsburg High School. He joined the football team, did well in wrestling, and was on the high school baseball team. He participated in the YMCA Youth and Government program for two years.

When Ahler is not at sports practice, he likes to spend time with his friends. He works harvest, volunteers at Lions Club events, and helps in the concession stand.

After graduation, Ahler will stay in Waitsburg to work this year's harvest before attending Washington State University to get a degree in business.

Ahler's favorite high school memories are the sports that helped him come out of his shell.

Michelle "Quin" Chavez

While attending Waitsburg High School, Michelle "Quin" Chavez worked at Bluewood during the ski season, walked dogs, volunteered at the concession stand, and ran the score clock during volleyball games.

Chavez competed for three seasons on the Waitsburg High School track team, where she enjoyed throwing the javelin. She is a three-year member of the Sources of Strength program.

After graduation, she plans to spend a gap year on her favorite pastimes, digital drawing and reading. In the future, she plans to study to become a dental hygienist. 

Chavez came to the Waitsburg School District as a freshman in high school. She said her favorite memories were hanging with friends in Gabe Kiefel's class and playing Pictionary in Matt Elders's class.
