    WAITSBURG - The Matbirds have been busy the last two weekends - first hosting a Little Guy Wrestling Tournament in Waitsburg on April 5, then heading to the State Tournament in Spokane on April 12. The Waitsburg High School gymnasium was packed on April 5, when 310 wrestlers, along with friends and family filled the bleachers. "The tournament went great," said Coach Kari Newman.     WAITSBURG - The rural roads of Walla Walla and Columbia Counties will again host hundreds of competitive cyclists this weekend during the 18th annual Tour of Walla Walla Bicycle race. Races will start and finish at Waitsburg on Friday afternoon and Sunday.     DeSales 9-11, Dayton 0-0 WALLA WALLA - The Dayton Bulldogs hit a buzz saw Saturday in the form of the DeSales Irish, as they were shut out on both ends of a double-header. After losing the first game 9-0, Irish Pitcher Adam Eskil threw a no-hitter against the Bulldogs, as DeSales won 11-0. Dayton Pitcher Lowden Smith had good game 1, giving up only four hits.     WP 14, Garfield- Palouse 2 PALOUSE - The WP baseball team got a big road win, roughing up Garfield- Palouse 14-2 on March 27 in the first game of a scheduled double-header. Pitcher Talen Larsen got his first win of the year, hold­ing the Vikings to six hits. Larsen also got three hits, as did Devin Acevedo. The Tigers got 13 hits in all.
