In game one Thursday, the cardinals were trailing 6-2 going into the seventh and final regulation inning. A four-run rally tied the score and sent the game into extra innings. LEWISTON – Dayton senior Kaitlyn Andrews competed in three events at the Meet of Champions in Lewiston April 30. She won the long jump, with a leap of 16 feet, 4 inches. Andrews also placed 4th in the triple jump and 5th in the 100 meter run. Due to state regulations, Andrews’ signature event, the javelin, is not held at meets in Idaho. WAITSBURG – The 19th annual Tour of Walla Walla cycling stage race will begin early Friday in Waitsburg. More than 100 professional and amateur cyclists from throughout the northwest are expected to take part.
