Last week, in the article “Confusion over Metropolitan Park District Tax Levies,” The Times incorrectly identified Tammy Ketterman as Columbia County Assessor. Ketterman is the Chief Deputy Appraiser in the Columbia County Assessor’s Office. The Times contacted the Assessor’s office to confirm that the county had reached the $5.90 limit on regular levies. Correction to “Dayton Library Director shares information about book choices for the library” printed in the August 25, 2022, issue of The Times. The article stated that Commissioner Chuck Amerien and Dayton City Councilmember Laura Aukerman had joined with others during public comment to challenge the board and ask for certain books to be removed from the library’s collection. In the July 7 issue of The Times, the news brief "Quilt of Valor presented to Dayton veteran," incorrectly stated the quilt was presented by the Dayton chapter of the American Legion. Members of the legion were present, and Brian Black spoke during the presentation. Last week, it was noted that there was no National Weather Service station in Waitsburg. While that is true, a reader wrote in to The Times to share that there is a WSU weather unit in Huntsville.
