WALLA WALLA – Tyler Paul Judd, 32, was arrested on multiple child rape and drug charges in Walla Walla on Nov. 17. Judd lists his address as 512 W. Second St. in Waitsburg. According to police reports, an officer observed Judd exiting a Walla Walla residence, followed closely by a fifteen-year-old girl. WAITSBURG – According to Operation Christmas Child shoebox media coordinator Fay Smith, this was a big year this year’s collection drive, coordinated by Samaritan’s Purse, which culminated Thanksgiving week. A record 18,084 gift-filled Christmas Shoeboxes were given by residents of Dayton, Waitsburg, the Tri-Cities, and eastern Oregon. WAITSBURG – Bev Rising addressed the Waitsburg Commercial Club last week to discuss Banner Bank and the conversion of Waitsburg's AmericanWest Bank to Banner Bank. WAITSBURG - Thousands of Operation Christmas Child (OCC) shoeboxes packed with gifts and school supplies for children in Third World countries will be collected Nov. 16-23 at church relay centers across the country. In 2014, a total of 16,814 shoebox gifts were given by local donors, including 152 from the Dayton-Waitsburg area.
