They were one of the two largest groups at the conference, and all 26 qualified to move on to the state competition in Seattle in April. DAYTON - Things seem to be going fairly well at Columbia County Senior Center. We were certainly surprised last week when we came for lunch to find there was a power outage. It didn't take too long to discover that some of us 'do not' cope when there is no coffee available! This didn't deter the guys playing pool. The 6-1 decision came after the council heard several public comments in opposition to the measure and after considerable debate among council members. DAYTON - As a young man living near San Francisco in the 1960s, Bill Freeman worked as a machinist and trained horses on the side. In 1965, he got a job helping build Little Goose Dam.
