Waitsburg High School classes pitted against one another to see who could bring in the most food to the Waitsburg Resource Center on Wednesday night. LEOs club advisor Gabe Kiefel spearheaded the drive and was assisted by members of the Waitsburg Lions Club who hauled food and fed the kids hamburgers following the drive. Preliminary election returns show that just over 40% of registered Columbia County voters turned in ballots for the Nov. 7 General Election. DAYTON – Staff at the WSU Dayton Extension Office are concerned that membership in 4-H could dwindle after the WSU Youth and Families Program enacted a $25 per-member annual enrollment fee beginning on Oct. 1, 2017. The first part of the Rainbow Lake project is almost completed and water is back in the lake. The lake was enlarged to the south towards Campground 3 and was dredged throughout the footprint of the new lake bed. The pipeline was installed and buried from the inlet to the lake.
