    WAITSBURG - This spring, twenty-one girls, ages five to eight, from the Waitsburg and Dayton area joined the Blue Mountain Girls Softball League. The practices took place in Dayton, and the girls played games in both Dayton and Walla Walla. The season kicked off on March 31st and wrapped up at the end of May.     WAITSBURG-Summer youth programs kicked into gear this weekend for kids in Waitsburg, Dayton, and Prescott. The Waitsburg Christian and Waitsburg Presbyterian churches offered Vacation Bible School to preschool through sixth-grade students from June 26 through 28. This year's "Breaker Rock Beach" theme was a hit with more than 40 kids who enjoyed the beach decorations, crafts, songs, games, and other activities.   • Waitsburg Students to compete at Amazing Shake in Atlanta

    WAITSBURG -After rounds of competition beginning last September, four Waitsburg students have come out on top and will participate in the National Great Shakes Competition. Carter Barron, Chloe McCaw, Verbena McLaughlin, and Wyatt Parish will travel to the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, in March.
