Columbia County Voter information

Accessible voting in Columbia County is available by calling the Auditor’s Office to schedule an appointment to use an accessible voting unit. Appointments are available through the close of voting on Election Day at 8 p.m.

Anyone who has not received a ballot or needs a replacement should call (509) 382-4541 or visit the Columbia County Auditor’s Office. Replacement or reissued ballots cancel the first ballot. The replacement ballot becomes your current ballot.

Please vote for only one candidate per race. When finished, place your ballot in the security sleeve. Place the security sleeve in the return envelope, then read, sign, and date the Voter’s Declaration on the return envelope. The envelope must be signed for the ballot to be counted. Voters unable to sign should make an identifying mark (such as an “X”) and have two people sign as witnesses. A power of attorney is not acceptable for the voter declaration.

Ballots may be returned at a ballot drop box or sent by mail (no stamp required) to the Columbia County Auditor’s Office. Drop boxes are now open and close at 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 3, 2026.

If you choose to return your ballot by mail, the USPS recommends that you mail your ballot at least one week before Election Day. Ballots postmarked after Election Day, November 3, 2026, will not be counted.
