Support for Schram

Dear Editor,

There are people who will tell you they are about their community, and there are people who simply show up when someone needs them.  Richard Schram has always been the kind who shows up. From what I have seen, he steps up because he feels a responsibility to help, not because he wants recognition or a title.

That is the same quality I see in his decision to run for Sheriff.  Richard knows the responsibilites of the office and the people who do the work everyday.  He has the depth of experience to understand the challenges ahead and how to address them.  I have the confidence in his experience, but what stands out to me most is the person behind it.  Richard is the neighbor who will come running when you need help.  He is loyal, dependable, and the kind of person who stays until the problem is solved.  That is exactly the character we need in our Sheriff.

I encourage my neighbors to join me in supporting Richard Schram for Sheriff of Walla Walla County.
