Waitsburg Schools looking for two new Directors

WAITSBURG — The Waitsburg School District has two vacancies on its five-member Board of Directors. The district is accepting applications for the Director, District 2, and Director, District 4–At Large.

The new board members will join Directors Charlie Barron, District 1, Tyler Abel, District 3, and Julie Karl, District 5–At Large. At-Large Directors represent the entire school district rather than a specific sub-district.

Applicants for District 2, should reside within the following boundaries:

Beginning at the intersection of Main Street and West Third Street, proceeding east on West Third Street to Coppei Avenue; southerly following Coppei Avenue and US Highway 12 to the school district boundary; westerly and northerly following the school district boundary to State Highway 124; easterly on State Highway 124 and West Second Street to West Street; south on West Street to West Third Street; east on West Third Street to the point of beginning.

Community members who are interested in serving on the School Board should submit a letter of interest to Superintendent Monty Sabin. The Board of Directors will select new directors after reviewing applications and interviewing candidates.
