At the Liberty:"Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu"

June 19-23

DAYTON — The Mandalorian and Grogu embark on their most thrilling mission yet in Lucasfilm’s “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu,” an all-new Star Wars adventure. The Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. To protect the gains from the rebellion, the fledgling New Republic enlists the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.

The cast includes Pedro Pascal, Sigourney Weaver, Jeremy Allen White and Martin Scorsese. It is rated PG-13 for sci-fi violence and action and has a runtime of 132 minutes.

The Rotten Tomatoes audience says, “Drawing on the strength of the series and the undeniable chemistry of the coolest duo since Chewbacca and Solo.” Though most of the RT critics gave a lukewarm review, one wrote “As C-3PO would say, I never doubted you for a second. Wonderful!”

This Saturday, June 20 during All Wheels Weekend, the theater will show a locally produced documentary, “Roll Modelz.” The award winning documentary is 12.5-minutes. It shows how the often-misunderstood lowrider culture can bring people together, especially during times of loss.

“Roll Modez” tells the story of how the Walla Walla based WA State Lowriders Car Club honor the memory of Mya Kay Avila. This documentary film will be shown free on a loop from 11 to 3 p.m.

Stop in, enjoy the AC, a free film, and snack on popcorn with real butter. Also, be sure to check out the Lowrider Cars that will be parked in front of the theater.

Alex Zerbe, The Zaniac, returns to Dayton on Thursday July 2, at 1:30 p.m. at The Liberty Theater. Admission is free. Zerbe moves like a rubber band from one end of the stage to the other. Experience a comedic performance of absurd ideas, odd skills, and see why this two-time Guinness World Record holder was voted Seattle’s Funniest Physical Comedian. Enjoy the free afternoon performance of comedy, variety, and juggling.

Schedule change - Upcoming Movies: “Star Wars: Mandalorian & Grogu” June 19-23, “Disclosure Day” June 26-30, “Young Washington,” “Toy Story 5,” “Minions.” Schedules subject to change.
