Brenton Segraves
Brenton Segraves is the son of Kathy Snyder and Elmer Segraves. His older sister Alyssa graduated in the WSD Class of 2024. He has a younger brother, Gabe, and sister, Alexis.
Segraves has been a Waitsburg student since the fifth grade. As a senior, Segraves takes morning classes at WHS and criminal justice classes in the afternon at SEATech Skills Center in Walla Walla.
A member of FFA, Segraves was on the Ag Mechanics team as a sophomore and junior. He is an honor student and was named Student of the Month in January 2026.
Segraves participated in football, baseball, and track. A scholar-athlete, he was named All-League Linebacker as a junior in football.
In track, he qualified for State his sophomore and junior years. He was awarded Most Inspirational at this year's spring awards assembly.
Outside of school, Segraves is a self-taught guitarist, has volunteered at the Lions Club's rib and salmon feeds, and assisted with painting the football field before home games. He assisted with mock interviews at SEATech, and volunteered at the Parade of Lights in Walla Walla.
Some of his very favorite memories are skipping school to attend Metallica, Slipknot, and Korn concerts.
After graduation, Segraves plans to work with his dad in the family's beekeeping business.
Shylee Elmore
Shylee Elmore is the daughter of Misty and Daniel. Her younger brother Tyr is a sixth-grader at the Waitsburg School District.
Elmore has been a full-time student at the district since Kindergarten.
Outside of school, she enjoys artistic activities when she is not helping with chores for an elderly neighbor in the community.
Her favorite memory is when her elementary class attended the events at the Bruce Mansion.
In the fall, Elmore plans to attend Walla Walla Community College to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Tucker Hamilton
Tucker Hamilton started school at Waitsburg in the second grade. His parents are Matt and Ashley, and his younger siblings are Holly and Samson
A full-time student at WHS, Hamilton has played football since third grade. He was named Defensive Player of the Year his junior year. He was the captain of his football team in his senior year.
In track, he excelled in the long jump during his junior year.
Hamilton has been involved in FFA since eighth grade and was on the Ag Mechanics team for three years, and the Rangeland team for two. He also judged livestock in his sophomore year.
In the community, Hamilton has volunteered for flood relief, the Lions Club's rib and salmon feeds, school concessions, and leaf raking for the elderly.
Outside of school, Hamilton builds his skills in self-defense at the 100 Kilos Jiu Jitsu Academy in Walla Walla.
Hamilton said his favorite memories include his junior season of football and FFA lock-ins.
This summer, Hamilton plans to work harvest. He will then attend Northwest Lineman College in Idaho to get his electrical certification.
