Master Gardeners Plant Clinics begin April 7

WALLA WALLA — The Walla Walla County Master Gardener plant clinics will begin on April 7 at the Washington State University Extension Office. The clinics will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The plant clinics are run by university-trained Master Gardeners, who volunteer to help residents cultivate healthy, productive, and resilient landscapes. Master Gardeners undergo extensive training in plant science, horticulture, and integrated pest management, enabling them to assist with:

• Identifying and diagnosing plant diseases, pests, and environmental stress

• Recommending sustainable research-based solutions

• Advising on general gardening and landscaping questions

• Helping residents select appropriate plants for the region’s climate

If local gardeners can’t make it to the clinics, they can bring in samples or questions to the office during regular office hours. Any samples left with the extension staff between clinic hours will be reviewed at the following session.

Questions can be submitted online through the WSU Ask a Master Gardener portal at https://tinyurl.com/2srw2zb9, or by email to wallawalla.mg@wsu.edu., or by using the QR code on the right.

The WSU Master Gardener Program has been serving Washington communities since 1973, empowering volunteers to help the public make environmentally responsible gardening decisions. The Walla Walla County team continues this mission by offering accessible, trustworthy support for gardeners across the region.
