DAYTON — The sequel to the 2018 standout hit “I Can Only Imagine” continues the true story of the band MercyMe’s lead singer Bart Millard. As Bart struggles to hold his family together, his wife Shannon becomes the family’s anchor by caring for Sam, supporting Bart, and holding on to hope. When Sam and newcomer Tim Timmons joins the band for their biggest tour yet, Bart must navigate the demands of fatherhood and the pressures of fame, all while helping his son find the courage to sing his own song. The cast includes Milo Ventimiglia, Trace Adkins, Dennis Quaid, Arielle Kebbel, and John Michael Finley. Rated PG for thematic material and some language and has a Runtime of 110 minutes.
The audience rates this film at 99%, saying that, “This second one was just as good as the first, if not even better! The acting was phenomenal, and the message in this was uplifting and will connect with anyone who has ever gone through a life storm or grief.” One critic wrote, “John Michael Finley, star of such Broadway hits as The Book of Mormon and Les Miz, returns as Millard and is particularly moving when the film gives him an opportunity to sing because boy can this dude sing.”
Coming up is “EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert” on March 20 through 24. Elvis sings and tells his story like never before in a new cinematic experience from visionary filmmaker Baz Luhrmann. The restored footage and live sound make it feel like you’re right there in the audience, cheering along with everyone. It’s impossible not to get caught up in the excitement and emotion.” Rated PG-13 for smoking and language and has a Runtime of 1hr. 36 minutes.
