Time to nominate your community hero for a Waitsburg Service Award

WAITSBURG - The Waitsburg Commercial Club is reminding the public to send in nominations for this year's Community Service Awards. Don't delay, as the deadline for nominations is March 25, 2026. There are four awards, which will be presented during the club's annual meeting and dinner on April 21, 2026. 

The nomination letters should include a statement on why the person or business deserves recognition in one of the following categories:

• Community Service Award – Recognizes a person who has volunteered their time without pay to benefit the Waitsburg community over several years. Nominees should demonstrate a consistent history of service that has benefitted neighbors or organizations.

• Business of the Year – Recognizes a Waitsburg business with a strong record of accomplishment and longevity. The recipient should contribute to a positive image of Waitsburg, serve as a local destination, support the community, and act as a valued resource.

• Employee of the Year - Honors an employee of a Waitsburg business who is identified with the company and shows commitment to the community. This person actively shares positive information about Waitsburg with both residents and visitors and goes beyond typical job expectations.

• Youth of the Year – Recognizes an individual under 21 who has demonstrated exceptional community service, leadership, and serves as a role model for their peers in Waitsburg.
