Lady Cardinals suffer first loss

The Waitsburg Middle School girls basketball team beat Rogers, 26 -16, on February 9.  Ryleigh Fabian hustled on both offense and defense and scored 12 points, rebounded nine, and had three steals. Kaitlyn Paul scored eight points, and Jaylynn Gleason had six rebounds and three steals. Oaklee Adams and Laila Long scored two points each for the Cardinals.  Audrey Kiefel and Reagan Fabian contributed three steals each.

 The Lady Cardinals took a 5-0 record to Richland on Wednesday, February 11, played tough against a taller, more experienced Liberty Christian team, and lost 25 -16.

 Ryleigh Fabian again led the team in points, scoring 6, and had 5 steals. Kiefel and Adalin Acevedo scored three points each, and Paul and Peyton Childers each scored two points.
