WCC asking for Community Service Award Nominations

WAITSBURG — The Waitsburg Commercial Club is asking the public to send nominations for this year’s Community Service Awards. There are four awards, which will be presented during the club’s annual meeting and dinner on April 21, 2026.

The nomination letters should include a statement on why the person or business deserves to recognition in one of the following categories:

• Community Service Award – A person who has performed unpaid community service over several years to the benefit of the

Waitsburg community.

• Business of the Year – A Waitsburg business that has a sustainable record of accomplishment, longevity, contributes to a positive image of Waitsburg, is a Waitsburg destination, and a community supporter and resource.

• Employee of the Year – An employee of a Waitsburg Business who is identified with the business, who shows a commitment to community, shares positive information about Waitsburg to local community members and visitors, and exceeds standard job expectations.

Youth of the Year – an under-21-year-old youth/student who has performed outstanding community service work, serving as an example for their peers.

Nomination letters must be submitted by March 25, 2026, and should be mailed to the Waitsburg Commercial Club, PO Box 451, Waitsburg, WA. 99361 or emailed to waitsburgcc@icloud.com.
